Saturday, I woke up about 8am and headed to Ankeny, where I stopped at the Driver's License station to have a quick eye exam done for my Out of State License Renewal Form, I did some grocery shopping at Hy-Vee, and I hit up Tasty Tacos for lunch. Tasty Tacos is sort of a thing here, and it's been on my list of things to try. Yum yum. Good stuff. I had one original flour taco and some refried beans.
They also had a cool saying on their shirts... "Nada es imposible." Nothing is impossible. Gotta love a good encouraging life saying.
Then, I went and walked around Gray's Lake, and it was kinda cloudy out so I decided to do a little shopping next. Went to Gordmans, and I found a dress for fun. Then, I headed back to the lake, where I just hung out, soaked up some rays, and read some. Then, on my way back to the house I stopped at "Classic Frozen Custard" on my way home. Just drove by, saw the sign, and thought I'd try it. Good stuff :-) Then, I picked up a sandwich up from Jimmy John's for dinner.
Sunday, I slept in until 9am and watched some TV before heading out. I checked out a lake south of Indianola, and then stopped in town at the A&W for lunch. So, when I walked in they asked if I was eating in or carry out. I said here. Then, they told me to have a seat, where there were menus, and then to pick up the phone when I was ready. Weird! So, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger basket and a root beer over a phone inside the eating establishment. Can't say I've ever done that before. haha It was good food, by the way. Been a while since I've had a hamburger.
Then, I spent some time at Gray's Lake again. Not much excitement this weekend, more of a chill weekend.
